5:00 - 8:00 pm throughout downtown Rochester
Celebrate and explore the arts in downtown Rochester with the return of Art Walk! This seasonal event features artists and musicians paired with retail shops, restaurants, galleries, and event venues throughout downtown Rochester. Gather your friends, and connect with the talented locals who make up our vibrant arts community.
Threshold Arts will feature large-scale sculptor and drawer Jessalyn Finch for a hands-on workshop where you'll bring beetles to life using cardboard, hot glue, and paint. Choose between a beginner-friendly or more advanced design to craft your own realistic stag beetle. It’s fun for all ages—no experience necessary!
Jessalyn Finch is a professional artist, large-scale drawer and sculptor, and creator of “Living in the Disconnect,” a solo exhibition at Threshold Arts. As a self taught cardboard sculptor, cardboard bugs were one of the first things she ever created out of cardboard. After that she started to think bigger, creating interactive, wearable, and large scale cardboard sculptures that have been exhibited in Seattle, Minneapolis, Bloomington and more.
Finch’s solo exhibition Living in the Disconnect is currently on view at Threshold Arts, through June 8.
Printed maps and Art Walk BINGO cards are available at the Historic Chateau Theatre and Threshold Arts.
Collect/return your BINGO card to Historic Chateau Theatre or Threshold Arts by Sunday, May 4 for a chance to win a $100 gift card to the downtown business of your choice.
