Artist Statement:
I create from the life I live.
I am an artist who draws inspiration from everyday interactions and moments. I draw from the whimsical nature of motherhood, wonder travel brings, love of fashion, and work as a Mayo Clinic pediatric dietitian. The result is a body of work that is layered, playful and, deeply personal. My paintings, vessels and sculptural objects are an invitation to pay attention to the mundane and transform your surroundings.
Artist Bio:
Hi! I’m Lori, and after years of creating I am ready to identify as an artist. Although officially self-taught, I grew up in a creative household where painting figures on a bedroom wall, coming home covered in clay and a totem pole sculpture in the front yard was considered normal. Outside of art, I have lived in 9 different states and as many lives as a professional cyclist, an influencer, a personal chef, wife, mother and dietitian. These varied experiences have inspired my creations and guided me to finding my path as an artist.
